Concept Design Work Begins on Georgian Style Country Farmhouse

Concept work has started on a large Georgian style Farmhouse in Hampshire. The design for a replacement dwelling on a large estate is sensitive to it's environment, subtle and elegant - in an architectural style in keeping with the rest of the estate and locality.

Our design is exploring intricate flint and brick detailing, reminiscent of the former building and other buildings on the large estate, with rear facing dormers keeping the front facade as modest and simple as possible.

The kicked eaves and large sliding sash windows are among the design features that are characteristic of a Georgian style dwelling, alongside proportions, scale and massing.

Our work developing the detail and character is ongoing up to a full planning application.
